MacPherson Dominates Early CSNS Season


29 players tried their hand at Ranking #3 in New Glasgow at the Century Snooker Club. Bill MacPherson extended his lead in the overall standings, making his third straight final of the season, this time taking top honors over John Rushton.

MacPherson went undefeated in the event with wins over Neil Van Rossum, Ryan MacKenzie, Hugh MacEachern, Carl Hall, Bill Martin, and Rushton.

Rushton's path to the final was not so direct, losing to Bill Martin in his second match. From there, however, Rushton reeled off 7 consecutive wins, victorious over Wek Augustine, William Holmes, Hugh MacEachern. Mike Cullymore, Craig Teal, Carl Hall and avenging his loss to Bill Martin.

The final 2 finishers were followed up by club owner Bill Martin in 3rd, moving him comfortably to the top of the Amateur Rankings to date for the season. Carl Hall was the top C class player with a solid 4th place finish. Janet Ritcey increased her lead in the Ladies rankings by finishing 5th-6th. Shauna Boyle moved into second place among women, placing 9th-12th in the event.
