Some x citing times for NSer’s in Vegas for ACS!!!
Congratulations Odd Squad 9, our first Nova Scotia Champions of the 2024 ACS Nationals, winning the Women’s Open 9-Ball Division!!! Kelly Brimicombe, Dana Luddington, Gilda Saunders, and Gillian Letzer, made the finals of the Women’s Open 9-Ball Team division undeafted, and topped a local Las Vegas team for the win. The same foursome, entered Women's Open 8-Ball teams as ODD SQUAD (sans the “9” in the name) and finished 7th-8th place.
Congratulations Halifax Explosion ( Vikki Trenholm, Jennifer Rowden, Leigh Ann Giles, Christa Cormier Yeo, and Janet Ritcey) as the second women's team Champions from Nova Scotia, capturing the Women’s Open 8-Ball team title. Halifax Explosion was also undefeated, and downed the same team from Las Vegas in finals that Odd Squad 9 has bested in the 9-Ball Division.
In Men's Standard 8-Ball Division, team Dooly's Burnside (Glenn Nickerson, Darren Reid, David Richard, Deryck White, Steven Hines, and Darren Hart) took home 3rd Place. Excellent work!
Team Nova Scotia Strong (Tracey Goodyear, Connie Reid, Christie-Anne Oickle, Annette Shea, and Audrey Ozon) placed 13th-16th in Women’s Open 8-Ball teams, having had their tournament hopes dashed in an all Nova Scotia match-up that went favorably for ODD SQUAD 10-7. Thanks for representing our province!
