Tournament Chart:

Cheryl Maloney won her first CSNS Women's Open 9-Ball Championship, clipping Audrey Ozon in the final held at Century Snooker Club in New Glasgow on November 26th. There were 10 ladies competing for the championship.

Maloney had wins over Leigh Ann Giles 7-5 and Tracey Goodyear 7-5 to reach the A-side final against Ozon. Ozon took the first meeting 7-6, sending Maloney to the B-Side, where Maloney prevailed over Giles yet again, this time 7-6. The rematch final would be one race to 9, with Maloney coming out on top over Ozon 9-8.

For her part, Ozon made her way to 2nd place, with wins over Lynn Gould 7-0, Kerrie Anne Sylliboy 7-6, Anne Mckinlay 7-6, and besting Maloney in A-Side final, before dropping the final set to Maloney in the rematch.

Giles finished third, having lost her first match to Maloney, then winning matches over Lynn Gould, Brenna Sylliboy, Anne McKinlay, and Kerrie Ann Sylliboy, before Maloney put an end to her B-side dash in their second meeting.

Cheryl Maloney earns the right to represent Nova Scotia at the 2023 CBSA Open 9-Ball Nationals, which have no firm date or location at this time, but will be announced later in 2023.
