Jeff Saulnier took the long road, but ended up savoring his first career CSNS Open Ranking win. Saulnier lost his initial match to Dale Brimicombe 5-3 in 8-Ball. From there, Jeff reeled off 9 straight match wins, including 7-4 score line over Bill MacPherson in the final. Prior to that, Macpherson had been the only remaining undefeated player among the 34 players at the Century Snooker Club in New Glasgow. Nick Kaiser, placed 3rd, having been sent to the B-side by MacPherson, and then was one of the victims of Saulnier's march through the field. Bruce Lilly also navigated his way from a first round loss to a 4th place finish.
